Can you taste the love?

You dont need processed sugar and fake flavours to make a good dessert. Try this recipe!

Chia Pudding

Ingredients

½ cup of Chia Seeds
1-2 cup fresh almond milk or coconut milk

Directions

Mix half a cup of chia seeds with the milk and whisk with a fork for a minute of so. Add more liquid if required.
Add any of the following ingredients to make a delicious pudding

  • Honey and Vanilla Paste
  • Cacao and Honey
  • Fruit & chopped dates

Leave it for about 1 hour for it to allow the seeds to absorb the liquid. Stir occasionally and add more milk or water as required.

I'm baaaack

Well, 14 months later it would appear that I have completely abandoned my blog. I see how it looks. And, I guess the honest truth is; I have. I had.
Blogging my way around the world seemed like a great idea a year ago but reality is using free wiffy for purposes other then facebook and booking your next hostel is a painful experience. Plus, it seemed like I had sooo much more fun and exciting things to do with my 'spare' time.

So folks, you will just have to believe and trust me when I say “I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE..!!!” The last 12 months... 24 countries ....

Anyways back to the important issues: blog wise, things have changed and you’ll no doubt be delighted to know... I.Am.Back.
All of a sudden I've landed, smack bang straight back into my old life. So, amongst working a tedious 8 – 5 job, sipping coffee in peak hour traffic, paying bills, dealing with skipping the gym guilt, and making delicious, extraordinarily good microwave meals I have managed to score a mediocre internet connection, a fancy smancy smart phone and a stack of that imperative, ‘spare’ time.
Hence people, I have reignited my passion for blogging. Yes, you heard right. You can safety get excited for some amazingly motivating, and hopefully entertaining blogs posts as the next adventure unfolds in my life..!

LA gets a little bit fancy

LA cont.

After nearly a week in Hollywood, Julia came picked me up from the hostel and gave me a bed to sleep on at hers - ah the life of a homeless person haha.

Sunday lunch with some friends and the cutest, old Jamaican lady! Yeah, man! Honest, she said it!

This is what I felt like when I went to the Getty...
But then I realised that I need to start appreciating art and embracing my new hippy, touristy lifestyle :)

After several moments gazing at this painting (like a true art connoisseur) I decided it was photo worthy, and even more so, worthy of a little space on my super fabulous blog.

Los Angeles skyline baby

This place really is quite cool...

How awesome is the garden!?? Totally amazing. The best art gallery I've been to so far fo'sure... :P

Ok, so little tip to all you Rodeo Drive navigating amateurs...
The best thing you can do for yourself is grab yourself some famous Sprinkles cupcakes. There's really popular and a huge hit with all the high fly personal shoppers. Winner!

Next up: Rodeo Drive.
Mission: Walk thru, take as many photos as you can get away with but buy Nothin, nill, nada!!

Gorgeous little arcade...                     Shops fronts sporting fancy cars

Oh yeah, I shopped up big in Valentino. In fact I bought SO much they got a guy to carry ALL my bags... ;P

Ok, ok... I may have bought anything. But I did make friends with the personal fashion stylist :)
he wanted me to smuggle him back into Australia in my Louise Vuitton suitcase - I said I'd shopped too much, there wasn't any room left...  unlucky!

I haven't eaten since buying these babies! so worth all the hunger pains tho! hehe not true...

The Pretty Women hotel that Julia Roberts stays at when she meets Richard Gere

Oh, this is just me in a bridal shop. Nothing to worry about Mum, I haven't been to Vegas yet... :P

Santa Monica sunset

Apparently the Kardashian sisters are seen up here all the time...

snippets from Sarah & I's awesome dinner date ;)

RED VELVET CUPCAKES - need I say anymore?

Police officers were called to the scene.

L to the A

14 hours later...

"Ladies and gentleman, Welcome to Los Angeles, it is currently 60 degrees outside (a.k.a freezing) and the local time is 6am!"

Wakey, wakey... I am soooo tired!!!!!!!!
Surely we cannot be there yet!?? I don't want to get off this nice, warm, safe plane and venture out into big, scary America!!! Pilot, can't we keep flying for just a few hours more!???
These are the thoughts going through my head!!! Can you believe it!? I really must have been jet lagged!

But I'm proud to say with only an hour of sleep under my belt, I managed to get past customs, pick up my luggage, get money out and somehow score a super cheap shuttle to my hostel!!!! Hostel didn't tell me about the super easy shuttle option - which is much MUCH easier then the 1 bus, 2 train, million mile walk option... so major WIN!!! :))

Los Angeles, California

Welcome to Hollywood!

On my hike up to the sign! Very excited to be this close!!!

Elizabeth Taylor died just a few weeks ago

Audrey Hepburn and I stopped for a quick cup of tea

Leonardo stopped for a quick smooch ... and possessive Ange, wouldn't leave Brad & I alone for a second!

Recognize the hotel from Pretty Women - where Julia Roberts meets Richard Gere on the stairs... *Aww*

I wander across to Beverly Hills for the arvo...

Paid my respects to Michael.
The room with the balcony is where he died. And that's the stencil a fan painted on his driveway shortly after.

Venice Beach

Tsunami Hazard Zone...!?!

Walking to Santa Monica

Photoshoot for a new mobile phone

Santa Monica Beach

The pier

According to the hostel's dodgy directions, it's just 45 mins on the bus...
2.5 hours later!!!

Eating healthy and nutritious meals, as always ;P

The flying car from Harry Potter!!!! ...Welcome to Warner Brother's Studios.

OMG it's the set of Friends!!!!!!!!!!

It feels surprisingly like home!

Goodbye lunch with some of my new hostel Hollywood friends :(
This photo was taken right before that curtain behind me fell down, greaaat restaurant! haha
