A couple of weeks ago I found a newspaper clipping on my office desk, advertising a 1 day natural skin care course and immediately booked myself in. This would be the perfect chance for me to rediscover the magic of aromatherapy and all the benefits associated with making your own skincare.
Finally the date came around, and on Saturday 23rd October I set off to discover the wonders of Toodyay, a little country town, about an hour from Perth.
About 45 minutes into the trip I hit gravel, country roads - perfect for practising my oh-so wonderfully honed defensive driving skills that I learnt the weekend prior. The steering wheel of my (actually lets be honest, it’s Mums) previously immaculately clean, white Hyundai Accent shook as I carefully manoeuvred it across the dusty gravel bridge and into the driveway of a beautiful 2 storey wooden house.
The lady of the house, my teacher for the day welcomed me in and sat me down with a cup of peppermint tea in her 'outside room' - the veranda, which had been turned it a cute area decorated with memorabilia from her travels to India and Nepal. LOVED IT!
We then spent the rest of the day making and mixing up a number of yummy concoctions over the stove - much funner than cooking! From rich night creams to full body salt scrubs, all made from natural Australian products - there was no doubt our skin was going to be glowing after this course.

For the last few days I've been contemplating what exactly I should be writing in this space. Tricky, eh! Then last night I decided I cannot define this blog to just one thing, one subject, but instead I'll write whatever is on my mind, in my heart and take you along the journey that is my life. So blogettes I do hope you ENJOY!
How often do we think about Angels? God's angels.
Heb 12:2 "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares".
So special. So amazing to think that we could have angels with us, right here and now. But, what would you act like if you knew you had an angel in your presence? Or that an angel was watching on, on your life. Would it change the way you act, the things that you say?
Sometimes we have to deal with difficult people or go through situations that just make us want to scream, but this has been the thought that has kept me these last couple days.
In Ps 34:7 it says "The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them".
You read in the bible that angels are messengers sent from God. Angels can protect us. God will look after his own people.
It's good to be reminded that a godly fear in our lives will save us. And, to show a loving and kind spirit to those around us is such a blessing. I want to know more of these things in my life.
